Welcome to the Alfa Romeo Club of Ottawa

Welcome to the 2014 Driving Season

Welcome the 2014 driving season for the Ottawa Alfa Romeo Club. There are plenty of exciting events lined up for this season so please check out our Events Calendar.

Events include The Italian Car Parade, EuroCars Winery Tour, The Fiat Breakout in Montreal, AROC USA National Conference and many, many others.

As for Club news, our fine Past President, Dave Semel, has decided to move to the East Coast to be closer to family. We all wish him well out there. He’s already joined a car club and both the Alfa and the Fiat are making the journey.

Closer to home, the Club will continue to be governed by our Executive Council by committee as no Member came forward in the Presidential Nominations at the end of April. Each executive member has assumed some duties of the President.  This means a few changes in the way the Club operates. First, individual Executive Members and Club Members will be responsible for updating the Club on events. All events can be found on our Events Calendar along with contact information

June Events are:

34th Annual Italian Car Parade – June 14th: Always a good time and a mainstay of the summer driving season.

Sommet des Legendes -  July 11-13: Hosted at Mont Tremblent, an excellent racing event for all.

EuroCars 2014 – June 21at: EuroCars has changed formats this year and will be hosting an inter-club drive to Smokey’s Ridge Winery for some wine tasting, with a stop at the new St. Albert’s Cheese Factory. Members are requested to bring their own picnic lunches.

Toronto & Montreal Clubs Rendezvous: This is a great Alfa Romeo inter-club event. All three clubs will be meeting in Kingston. A great summer drive.

For General Inquiries, Jeff Woods will be the main contact. His contact information can be found on the Contacts and Membership page.

We’re looking forward to the driving season, and hope you are too!

Happy Motoring

Alfa Romeo Planning 4C Stradale and Roadster Variants
The fate of the Alfa Romeo 4C arriving in the United States may very well depend on the outcome of a Chrysler IPO. But whether we get it here or not, Alfa Romeo is said to be working on some upgrades.

According to the latest rumors, the Italian automaker is preparing a racing version of the 4C. Which is all well and good for racing drivers and their teams, but the more tantalizing prospect is that Alfa could in turn develop a hardcore Stradale version for the road.
